Is SEO really dying, or is it simply changing again?

In this episode, Palle Bo and Christoph Huebner sit down with SEO expert and entrepreneur Kyle Roof, who famously proved just how mathematical Google's algorithm can be by ranking a page filled largely with gibberish.

Kyle explains why he believes the fundamentals of SEO are still very much alive, even as Google, ChatGPT and other AI tools change how people search for information. He also shares a provocative prediction about the limitations of today's large language models and explains why simply asking AI to "SEO" your content may be a very bad idea. 73 Transcript

The conversation moves beyond traditional SEO into GEO, AI search, email marketing, community building and the increasingly complicated journey people take before becoming customers. Kyle also gives a preview of what he'll be sharing on stage at Nomad Summit 2027 in Chiang Mai.

    Key Takeaways

    • SEO isn't dead – Kyle argues that its core principles remain remarkably consistent.
    • AI search is changing how people discover businesses, but many traditional SEO principles still apply to GEO.
    • Generic AI tools don't automatically understand how to create content that ranks.
    • AI can be a powerful multiplier, but only if you already understand what good SEO looks like. 73 Transcript
    • Website traffic may change, but visibility, qualified leads and conversions matter more than raw visitor numbers.
    • Email and community building remain powerful ways to turn attention into customers.
    • The future of online discovery may involve many more touchpoints rather than one simple marketing funnel.
